Thorson Photography is a Canberra wedding photography studio run by Amanda Thorson from her home base in Ainslie. The approach is relaxed and unscripted: minimal posing, plenty of laughing, and a photographer who blends into the day rather than directing it.
Photos are natural and relaxed rather than formal, favouring genuine moments over posed set-pieces. Couples are encouraged to be themselves, with direction kept to a minimum throughout the day.
Couples who want an easygoing, low-pressure wedding day experience and straightforward digital packages, from small courthouse elopements up to a full eight-hour wedding day in Canberra.
Three packages run From $4,400 for up to four hours of coverage anywhere in Canberra, up to $6,600 for eight hours. Every package includes an online gallery of print-ready, high-resolution images with no watermarks; galleries are typically delivered within eight weeks. Prints and albums can be purchased separately but are never required.
A dedicated “courthouse package” is available on enquiry for elopements and other non-traditional weddings, alongside the standard packages.
