Emma Wise is a Byron Bay photographer who works across four fields -- fashion, weddings, product and personal branding -- after more than ten years in a studio before moving to natural light. Weddings are one line of four, and it shows in the work: her bridal photographs carry a fashion photographer’s eye for styling and light.
Honest and natural by intent, editorial by instinct. She wants you to forget the camera is there, but says plainly that her fashion background means she will step in and adjust if you want direction. The Byron work leans warm and moody -- beaches at dusk, rainforest, disused railway lines.
Couples who want their wedding photographs to look styled rather than merely recorded, and who like the idea of a photographer who shoots fashion the rest of the year. Also good if you want to build your own package: she says outright that you can mix the collections up.
Four collections from $3,550 to $8,750 -- the larger two bundle a designer album and a second shooter, saving $800 and $1,700. A $500 deposit and a signed contract hold the date and come off the total. Photographs arrive 28 days after the wedding. No hour counts or image counts are published, so ask about both.
The lead-up. You get a planning call where she maps the whole day’s timing around the light, a questionnaire, a custom proposal, and then another call two weeks out specifically to go over everything again. For a couple anxious about the running order, that second conversation is worth more than another hour of coverage.
