Mitch Pohl has been photographing weddings since 2013 and lives with his family at Bawley Point, a seaside town on the New South Wales South Coast. He describes himself as a coffee drinking, record listening, wave catching, laid-back kind of guy, and the work matches: unhurried, warm, and far more interested in what actually happened than in what could be arranged. He came to photography sideways, through making surfing videos, and says he cannot imagine a better way to spend his days.
