Derek Bogart Photography is a one-photographer wedding studio based in the Southern Highlands of New South Wales, photographing weddings there and across Sydney and the surrounding regions. He has been photographing weddings since 2011, and describes his approach as fun and deliberately not one-size-fits-all.
Style & Approach
The work is photojournalistic and built on storytelling from a natural, candid point of view, aiming to capture the raw emotion of the day rather than arrange it. Awkward posing is avoided in favour of letting couples enjoy themselves.
Ideal For
Couples who want the day recorded as it happens, from preparations through to the reception, and who like knowing the coverage length before they book. Elopements and smaller weddings are catered for with a shorter tier, and a second shooter can split off to cover both sides of the ceremony.
The Need-to-Knows
Three coverage lengths are published, from three hours for an elopement up to eight hours for a full day, and every one includes unlimited photos, a private online gallery and full download access. Pricing is not published and is quoted on enquiry. Extra hours can be added to any tier, and travel beyond a hundred and fifty kilometres carries a set expense.
