Emma Hampton is a wedding photographer based in the eastern suburbs of Sydney who photographs weddings across Australia and overseas. Her pitch is about how the day should feel: in her words, you should be drinking champagne and hugging your people, not spending hours posing for photos.
Relaxed and unhurried. She says she is often described as gracious, cool, calm and collected, and says her goal is to make you comfortable enough to be your true self.
Couples marrying around Sydney’s eastern suburbs, and those planning something further afield — she photographs along the coast, in the countryside and overseas. Elopements are welcome; she calls them some of her favourites.
Half-day and full-day coverage starts from $4,000, and she takes a limited number of weddings each year so she can stay closely involved. She recommends booking at least 12 months ahead. A couple session with 50 or more images is $900, and 35mm film can be added to a package.
The gallery arrives in two parts: a selection of sneak peeks a few days after the wedding, then the full online gallery eight to ten weeks later. She also offers fine art albums, though she notes the details for those are still coming.
