Overview & Vibe

Stephen Jorgensen has photographed weddings from Albury for more than twenty-five years and puts the number past nine hundred. The studio is the former All Saints’ Anglican church on Bellevue Street, which is where the name comes, and it is open by appointment. He works the border twin cities and a wide arc around them (the Riverina one way, the Victorian high country the other) and almost every wedding he publishes is at a venue he has shot many times before.

Style & Approach

Natural and candid storytelling, in his own words, with a documentary feel and some gently guided portraits so nobody has to know what to do. He describes his manner on the day as low-key and unobtrusive, and the results as timeless rather than of the moment. He also states plainly that every image shown is from a real wedding rather than a styled shoot.

Ideal For

Couples marrying anywhere between Wagga Wagga and Bright who want someone genuinely local rather than someone charging to drive. Also good for small weddings: two hours covers a ceremony and a handful of portraits, which most full-service photographers will not quote for at all.

The Need-to-Knows

Four collections, for two hours for ten, and prepaying adds two hours free to the three larger ones. A retainer holds the date, the balance falls due a fortnight before, and instalments start a week. Coverage runs from two to twelve hours. There is no album or print product at a published price.

Appointment Policy

  • Studio hours are by appointment, so book a time before calling in at Bellevue Street.

  • Booked couples get a separate pre-wedding meeting to go through the day.
  • Most couples book about twelve months ahead, and March, April, October and November tend to fill around eighteen months out.
