Wedding Photographers · Cairns / Port Douglas, Queensland · By appointment
Emma G Photography works out of a studio on Abbott Street in the middle of Cairns, and shoots weddings across the tropical north — the beaches at Port Douglas and Palm Cove, the cane country, the rainforest and the Tablelands behind them. Emma is originally from Hungary and has built a practice with a distinctly editorial edge: a lot of black and white, a lot of restraint, and a calm presence on the day rather than a director shouting instructions.
She describes her style as timeless, elegant and heartfelt, and the galleries bear that out — classic, unhurried frames with a fashion influence in the posing and a preference for real moments over set-ups. Editing is deliberately clean rather than trend-driven, which is the point: the images are meant to still look right in twenty years.
Couples who want a photographer with an internationally recognised body of work and who care about the album as much as the gallery. The range runs from a two hour elopement through to a full eight hour wedding day, so both a quiet beach ceremony and a full reception are covered. She also shoots maternity, newborn and fine art work, and runs photography workshops locally.
Coverage starts at two hours and runs to a full day of eight, with prices published for both ends. Every package includes a planning consultation, timeline guidance, individually retouched images in a private online gallery, and a custom-designed wedding album. A deposit holds the date. Second photographer, video, extra albums and prints are all optional add-ons rather than bundled in.
The printed album is treated as the actual deliverable rather than an upsell — a custom-designed, museum-grade book is part of every wedding package, and the site argues at length that photographs are meant to be held rather than scrolled past. Images are also archived for at least twelve months as a safety net.
