Rendezvous Designs has been dressing brides in Kingaroy for 25 years, and its showroom sits inside the Burnett Bridal and Formal Events premises on Markwell Street. It has been named #1 winner in the Brides Choice Awards in 2020, 2024 and 2025, and a finalist in 2023. Dress Styles & Designers

The range is far bigger than the town — 198 wedding gowns plus bridesmaids, debutante, formal, mother-of-the-bride and flowergirl. Labels include Cizzy Bridal, Herawhite, Wendy Ann, Helen Fontaine, Jadore/Nicoletta, Mari Gourlay, Sophia Tolli, Mon Cheri and Tania Olsen for bridesmaids — and the brands carry many more styles to order than appear online.

Ideal For

A country bride who wants real choice without driving to Brisbane, and one who wants a gown that actually fits. Sizes run from 0 to 32, gowns start at $150, and the in-store dressmakers work to the motto “Your Design... Your Size”. There is a clearance range where you can name your own price.

The Need-to-Knows

The showroom is open by appointment only, so consultations stay private: Mon 10am–5pm, Tue–Wed 9am–5pm, Thu 9am–8pm, Fri–Sat 9am–4pm. Phone (07) 4162 4608. Lead times vary by label — 8 to 16 weeks for a special order, with rush options on some brands for a fee. Returns are 14 days, and a change of mind or wrong size carries a 20% restocking fee. Buy now, pay later is available through zipPay.

Standout Feature

They will rebuild a gown you already own. The workroom restyles, resizes, adds sleeves, straps and belts, and embellishes with beads and lace — and it specialises in making something new from something old. Its own example is a flowergirl dress created entirely from the child's grandmother's wedding gown. Gowns are pressed free before they leave the store.

  • The showroom is open by appointment only, so your consultation is private.
  • Book online, or phone (07) 4162 4608.
  • Monday 10am to 5pm; Tuesday and Wednesday 9am to 5pm; Thursday 9am to 8pm; Friday and Saturday 9am to 4pm.
  • Book a separate appointment with the seamstress if you need a gown altered or restyled.
  • Allow 8 to 16 weeks for a special order, depending on the label.
  • Rush orders are possible on several brands for an additional fee — ask when you book.
