Wedding Photographers · Adelaide, South Australia
Tomek Celarek was born in Brazil, raised by Polish parents and studied architecture before finding that telling stories through a lens was his perfect in-between. He has photographed weddings for over ten years and works from Adelaide across Australia and overseas. His work has been featured in Hello May, Polka Dot Bride, Looks Like Film, Capture One and SA Life.
He names his own style plainly: documentary. He photographs the whole day rather than selected parts of it, and describes his approach as intuitive and heart felt. In his own words, do not let what has sometimes been described as a harsh aesthetic fool you — he is deeply romantic and terribly nostalgic, careful in his approach, and wants couples to feel at ease above all else.
Couples who want one photographer for the entire day with no clock watching, and who would rather have a single considered collection than a menu of tiers. His published work runs from city elopements through streets and laneways to full celebrations, much of it in black and white. Couples marrying with very short coverage, including elopements and micro weddings, are quoted individually.
There is one wedding collection, and it starts at $6,500 for full-day coverage of up to twelve hours. That includes unlimited correspondence and timeline help beforehand, 800 or more fully edited images, an online gallery to share, downloads in both web and original high resolution, and an online print store. Film photography, heirloom albums and additional hours can be added. Engagement and couple sessions start at $1,200.
The single-package decision is deliberate and he explains why: with one collection there are no additional hourly rates and no question of whether the photographer leaves before the first dance. It follows from photographing the entire day, from getting ready through to the end of the night.
