About

Overview & Vibe

Emily Westhoff photographs weddings from a base in the Barossa Valley, and has been building what she calls a collection of love stories since 2019. She works across the valley’s farmhouses, paddocks and heritage gardens, and her pictures have been picked up by SA Life, Country Living, Made with Love Bridal and The Barossa Mag. A mother of three, she writes about understanding how quickly time passes — which is the reason she gives for photographing the way she does.

Style & Approach

Warm, natural and relaxed, in her own description, shot on both digital and film. The work leans on golden light across open country, quiet moments between a couple, and black-and-white frames used sparingly. Rather than directing heavily, she lets the day run and follows the connections in it, which suits couples who would rather be photographed than posed.

Ideal For

Couples marrying in the Barossa who want someone who lives there — farm weddings, valley lookouts and long outdoor afternoons. The three coverage lengths stretch from a short ceremony-and-portraits booking to a full ten-hour day, so an intimate country wedding and a large one are both catered for. She also photographs engagements, families and maternity sessions.

The Need-to-Knows

Wedding coverage comes in three lengths — two hours, six hours or ten hours — and the fee for each is quoted on enquiry rather than published. Portrait and maternity sessions do carry published fees, with a film add-on offered alongside them. There is no studio address or telephone number published; enquiries are made online.

Standout Feature

She is based in the Barossa itself rather than travelling out from Adelaide, which shows in the work: the light, the paddocks and the stone farmhouses are photographed by someone who knows when and where they look their best.
