Overview & Vibe

Piermont is a 230-acre coastal estate three kilometres south of Swansea, looking across Great Oyster Bay to the Hazards. It has been taking guests since 1996 and marks thirty years in 2026, growing from three stone cottages to twenty-eight self-contained places to stay. Weddings here are deliberately small and residential — up to sixty people, all-inclusive, everyone on site from the welcome drinks to the farewell brunch.

Setting & Style

At the centre is the Homestead Restaurant, built in 1838 and heritage-listed — whitewashed Georgian, known locally as the White House — now a restaurant with indoor and outdoor event space and views to the bay. The ceremony site is the Roman-inspired stone amphitheatre, framed by Mediterranean cypress and unlike anything else on the east coast. The grounds also hold two private beaches, a polo field, an outdoor pool, a tennis court and a pine forest.

Couples wanting a small destination wedding where the guest list also fills the accommodation — and elopements, which Piermont takes in limited numbers each year.

The Need-to-Knows

Up to 60 guests. The Homestead Restaurant takes exclusive-hire bookings for 15 to 60 guests, during select months only — so both the size and the season are constrained.
Wedding packages are all-inclusive and unpriced. No per-head or package figure is published anywhere on the site; planning starts with a venue tour or an email to the events team.
The one published figure is the ceremony site fee: $500, giving exclusive access to the amphitheatre for up to four hours.
Elopements are limited to four guests and a limited number are accepted each year — stay in a cottage, celebrate over a long lunch or dinner at the Homestead.
Twenty-eight self-contained places to stay on site: thirteen stone and rammed-earth cottages, six spa suites and nine architect-designed residences. Note the spa suites are adults only.
Booking a room does not reserve a restaurant table — the Homestead is open to visitors as well as guests and is booked separately.
Access is a real consideration: the property has staircases, winding stone stairways and rugged garden paths. The Deluxe and Premium Spa Suites are the venue's own recommendation for guests with mobility needs.
Tennis and kayaks on Great Oyster Bay are complimentary and need no booking.
