Overview & Vibe

A boutique glamping retreat on 25 acres of coastal bush at Binalong Bay, minutes from the orange-lichened granite of the Bay of Fires. Ten bell tents, a king room and a bunkhouse sit among the gums around a steel-and-timber kitchen and dining pavilion, an honesty bar and fire-pit gathering areas. The hosts, Tom and Anna, live on site.

Setting & Style

Understated architecture in raw steel, concrete and timber, set back in the bush rather than on the water. The dining pavilion opens on three sides and lights up at night; the fire pit is where the evening ends. It is deliberately communal — a fully equipped shared kitchen, a veggie garden, and a hand-crafted amenities block a short walk from the tents.

Couples who want a three-night destination wedding weekend with everyone sleeping on site, and who like the idea of a bush camp rather than a ballroom.

The Need-to-Knows

Weddings are a three-night minimum with exclusive use. The package is “exclusive use of the retreat, event venue hire, and three nights’ accommodation across all on-site options for up to 30 guests”, with no other bookings on the property.
Up to 40 guests as standard, and up to 80 occasionally. “We offer a small number of extended-capacity weddings each year for up to 80 guests.” Thirty sleep on site; the rest come for the day.
BYO everything. Both catering and alcohol are yours to arrange — “Many couples choose to work with local chefs or food trucks”, and for drinks the retreat provides “fridges, ice tubs, and glassware” and will load your beverages into the bar fridges.
Wedding pricing is quoted, not published, but the retreat does publish its exclusive group rates: $135 / $110 / $90 per person per night by season, based on 30 guests. Those are group-booking rates, not a wedding package price.
Dietary needs are covered. The in-house pre-prepared meals “cater to a range of dietary needs including Vegetarian, Vegan and Gluten-free options”, and there is a $25pp breakfast platter.

The published rates are group-booking rates rather than wedding rates. Nightly rate per person, based on 30 guests: high season, 1 December to 28 February including Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays, Easter and Tasmanian public holidays, $135; shoulder season, 1 March to 31 May and 1 September to 30 November, $110; low season, 1 June to 31 July, $90. Some periods require a minimum stay of two or three nights, and pricing is subject to change.
