The only accommodation inside Freycinet National Park, on Great Oyster Bay with the pink granite peaks of The Hazards behind it and Wineglass Bay over the ridge. The lodge sells the setting rather than a ballroom: “Say ‘I do’ in our romantic national park setting or host a memorable event surrounded by awe-inspiring scenery.”

Setting & Style

Ceremonies happen on the sand — the lodge's own photographs show an arbour set on the beach with the mountains rising behind, and guests seated on the shore. Honeymoon Bay, a sheltered cove a short walk from the rooms, is named as “one of our favourite locations for intimiate wedding ceremonies and elopements”. Receptions run indoors in a timber-trussed, glass-walled room, or outdoors at long tables strung with lights under the bushland canopy.

The Need-to-Knows

Every overnight guest needs a Tasmanian Parks Pass. “Yes, you will require a Tasmanian National Parks pass (entry permit) if you are planning on staying overnight at Freycinet Lodge, as we are located within Freycinet National Park.” Reception sells them — $47.70 for a 24-hour vehicle pass, $95.50 for an eight-week one. Day visitors do not need one. This is a real line item for a guest list.
No capacity and no wedding pricing are published. Both come by enquiry. Do not read the “up to 200 people” figures on the events page as the venue's — they belong to third-party tour operators listed alongside it.
Accommodation is on site and extensive — Coastal Pavilions, Mountain Terrace King and Family rooms, Lodge King, Premier, Bushland, One Room and Family Cabins.
Three places to eat: The Bay Restaurant, Richardson's Bistro and Hazards Bar & Lounge. Richardson's closes over winter, with its menu moved to Hazards.
The event team handles the detail — “customised gifts, room drops, arrival drinks, and hot and cold towels.”
It is an NRMA Parks and Resorts property operating on its own domain.

A TRAP ON THE EVENTS PAGE, RECORDED SO THE NEXT SWEEP DOES NOT FALL INTO IT. The page contains the strings 'No of guests: up to 200 people' twice and 'No of guests: up to 9' once. NONE OF THESE IS THE VENUE'S CAPACITY. They belong to third-party experiences listed alongside the event content: the 200s are Wineglass Bay Cruise and Freycinet Adventure sea kayaking, the 9 is All4Adventure quad biking. A keyword grep for capacity would record 200 as the wedding capacity and be wrong.

OWNERSHIP. Freycinet Lodge is an NRMA Parks and Resorts property; the privacy policy and terms across the site are NRMA's, and the shared platform serves sibling properties' data in the same payload. It is listed on the standing carve-out for a SINGLE-VENUE OWN-DOMAIN property - freycinetlodge.com.au is its own domain, it is one physical lodge, and it publishes its own wedding offer. The same treatment Batch 136 applied when it deferred the venue for content rather than for chain status.
A CRAWL NOTE, AND THE REASON THIS DEFERRAL RESOLVED. Batch 136 deferred Freycinet Lodge because 'Playwright renders the weddings page as a single sentence - the body never loads', with a developer placeholder shipped in production.
