A single architectural house on the water at Swansea, on Tasmania's east coast looking across Great Oyster Bay to the Freycinet coast — and a dedicated elopement venue rather than a wedding venue in the usual sense. Sea Stone hosts parties of two to ten, and nothing larger.

Setting & Style

Dark stone and vertical timber outside, warm and spare inside: Egyptian cotton, a deep bathtub, a green-tiled bathroom, a living room glazed to the bay. The beach is at the back doorstep. The venue's own photographs show a single long table dressed in white linen and wildflowers set on the deck with the water behind it — which is what an elopement here looks like.

The weddings page routes every enquiry to a third party: '*All elopements at Sea Stone must be booked through one of our exclusive planners.' The four named planners are 'Freyr Studio x Murphy Bloom, Wilderness Weddings, Dear Leone, Artaud & Co'. The venue's own words: 'To ensure every detail of your elopement is perfect, Sea Stone has forged an exclusive partnership with four distinguished wedding planners... To embark on this journey of wedding planning bliss, we invite you to reach out directly to your preferred planner. They will be delighted to share more about the offerings at Sea Stone and discuss the bespoke packages they have crafted.' So the package, the inclusions and the price all belong to the planner, not the venue. price_per_head is NULL because there is nothing per-head to record.
THE VENUE PUBLISHES NO STREET ADDRESS, NO PHONE AND NO EMAIL. The only location the site gives is 'Swansea, Tasmania, Australia', and the contact page is a form: 'Question? Suggestion? IT DESCRIBES ITSELF AS AN AIRBNB. From the amenities page: 'Our meticulously designed Airbnb offers a range of amenities to ensure your stay is nothing short of extraordinary.' The amenity list is domestic rather than functional - bathtub, Aesop toiletries, hairdryer, Egyptian cotton linen, closet and dresser, in-unit washing machine and free dryer, Wi-Fi, and a kitchen with 'Refrigerator, microwave, dishwasher, electric stove, oven, and coffee maker (espresso machine)... pots, pans, oil, salt, and pepper... Wine glasses, a toaster, blender, and barbecue utensils.' There is no commercial kitchen, no bar and no in-house catering, which is consistent with the planner-led model.
