Lake House Daylesford
About
Overview & Vibe
Lake House sits on the shore of Lake Daylesford — a two-hatted restaurant, a 13,000-bottle cellar and a spa, wrapped in six acres of gardens that run down to the water and back into the Wombat State Forest.
Setting & Style
Ceremonies take the waterfront beneath the silver birches or the Lagoon Foreshore, with the lake immediately behind the vows and the forest beyond it. Three spaces carry the rest of the day: the Terrace Room, intimate enough for forty and spacious enough for a hundred and fifty; the Waterfront Pavilion for up to forty; and the Cellar for groups of up to fourteen, down among the bottles. The kitchen is the reason many couples come — two chef hats and a cellar to match — and the property's rooms and suites, mineral spa and lakefront lodges keep the party on site for the weekend, with the Sutton Suite complimentary for Terrace weddings.
Ideal For
Couples who want the food and the lake to do the work — a destination weekend rather than a single afternoon.
