At The Heads
About
Overview & Vibe
At The Heads sits on the water's edge at Barwon Heads, a timber-and-glass restaurant looking straight down the Barwon River to the bridge, the Bluff and the heads of the bay — beach one side, jetty the other.
Setting & Style
Ceremonies go indoors under the iconic exposed beams and timber floors, or outside on the grass overlooking the jetty and down on the beach itself. The main dining room takes 120 seated or 160 for cocktails behind warm timber and ample glass, with fairy lights strewn between the restaurant rafters making a canopy to dine and dance beneath; the semi-private Mulloway Room on the southern Bluff side handles 54 seated or 80 for canapés. Beach access is a few steps away for photographs, the venue runs weddings year-round apart from a summer break, and groups run from ten right through to a hundred and fifty.
Ideal For
Couples wanting a coastal restaurant wedding — the bridge, the Bluff and the jetty out every window.
