Basils Farm looks out over Swan Bay to the village of Queenscliff beyond — a working vineyard, cottage and restaurant at Swan Bay, with a contemporary pavilion, expansive lawns and landscaped cottage gardens running down toward the water.
Ceremonies take the rolling front paddock, the farm gates or the vines, with the bay and surrounding countryside as backdrop, and arrive fully equipped: site hire, arrival signage easel, iced water station, two wine barrels marking the aisle, a signing barrel, forty chairs, market umbrellas, a professional onsite coordinator, a photography permit across the property and storage of arbours, flowers and decorations for up to three days beforehand. Receptions move into Basils Pavillion — permanent covered decking adjoining the Cottage, fully enclosable with lighting, heating, speakers and a living green feature wall — seating 100 banquet-style or holding 150 for stand-up Walk & Fork; the rustic-cafe Cottage doubles as dance floor and walk-up bar. The kitchen cooks farm-fresh produce grown on the property against the estate’s own artisan wines, with gluten-free, vegetarian and vegan options available, and Basils’ caravan bar pours arrival drinks before the ceremony. Every wedding takes the site exclusively, with all events concluding at 11pm.
