The estate claims it is “the only venue in Geelong to offer a single, square-shaped event space with capacity for up to 500 guests” — 30m by 27.5m, with clear sightlines throughout.

Setting & Style

Three quite different spaces: the industrial Barrel Hall, the light-filled Vineyard Room with its own private bar, and the open-air Garden Bar. Ceremonies happen out in the olive grove and among the vines.

Ideal For

Large weddings, and cultural weddings — the estate advertises working alongside a couple’s own cultural wedding planner and allows you to supply your own spirits, which most licensed venues do not.

Minimum guest numbers are a sliding scale by day and season, and they matter more than the headline rate: 60 adults Monday-Wednesday and low-season Friday; 80 adults low-season Saturday and shoulder-season Friday; 110 adults shoulder-season Saturday. A midweek or winter wedding is therefore materially cheaper in both rate and minimum.
The venue is licensed until midnight and extension is priced: 'We are licensed until midnight. Extend your package for: $15 per person per half hour. $20 per person per hour.'
You may supply your own spirits - unusual for a licensed venue, and listed among the inclusions as 'Option to supply your own spirits'. The magazine also prices venue-provided options: 'Mount Duneed-Provided Spirits (one-hour duration): Basic Spirits (4 varieties): $10 per person. Premium Spirits (4 varieties): $20 per person'; and a five-hour package upgrade at 'Basic Spirits: $10 per person for five hours' or 'Premium Spirits: $16 per person per hour for five hours'. A 'Styled Spirits Bar' using your own bottles is '$5 per person', with separate bar hire available at additional cost.

All dietary requirements are catered for, with no surcharge stated: "Catering for All Dietary Requirements: Every guest's needs are thoughtfully accommodated." Individual menu items carry markers such as nut free, dairy free, low gluten and vegetarian.
Cultural weddings are explicitly supported: 'work with your cultural wedding planner to seamlessly bring everything together' and 'Flexible spaces to accommodate cultural [requirements]'. Combined with the BYO-spirits option, this is a venue set up for weddings it does not itself cater end-to-end.
