A restored barn on a ridge above the Bass Coast, on 27 acres of a 120-year-old farm at Outtrim in South Gippsland. The owners built it because they couldn't find it: “Our journey began with planning our own barn wedding… When we couldn't find it, we set out to create it.”

Setting & Style

270-degree views across Bass Coast, Inverloch and Wilsons Promontory. The barn keeps its soaring exposed hardwood beams and expansive windows, hung with chandeliers and festoon lighting; outside there are dry stone walls, manicured gardens, a fruit and vegetable garden and farm animals. It is run as an eco-venue — rainwater, solar-supplemented power, full recycling and local produce.

Couples who want the property to themselves for up to three days, with a blank-canvas barn they can style and cater themselves — or a small, fully-managed micro wedding or elopement instead.

The Need-to-Knows

Four named ceremony spaces, and you choose: Garden Lover, Views for Miles, Grassy Knoll and Love Shack.
Four hire formats at different scales — Elopement (6 hours, 10–50), Winter special (24 hours, 30–80), Micro (24 hours, 30–110) and Weekend (3 days). Capacity tops out at 120 cocktail or 90 seated.
Accommodation is included, not extra. The Chapter Studio — a restored former dairy with two bedrooms, sleeping 4–6 — comes with every package.
The weekend package is dry hire: “Supply your own catering and beverages.” Micro and elopement hires are the opposite — catering, beverages, florals and styling are all handled by the venue.
No pricing is published, though a 20% discount for Monday to Thursday celebrations is advertised on every package page.
