Haven Images is the wedding practice of Emma, working from Gippsland across Victoria and Australia-wide. She photographs and films the same day, so a booking can cover both stills and a storytelling video without bringing in a second supplier. The tone is warm and unhurried: joy, dancefloor mayhem and the quiet moments in between, captured by someone who mostly stays out of the way.
The work is documentary in temper. She sets out to catch the split-second moments — the laughter, the way a face lights up — and says that most of the time you will not know she is there, except during the portrait session. The films weave in parts of the speeches so the day can be watched back rather than only looked at, and every package includes a second shooter.
Couples who want photography and video from one person and one visual sensibility, and who care about hearing their loved ones speak as much as seeing them. It suits Gippsland weddings especially well, and she regularly travels to Melbourne. Couples wanting a physical heirloom are well served by the album and wall-art line.
Full-day photography packages start at $5,300 on their own, and most couples spend between $9,500 and $11,500 for a combination of photography and video. A full pricelist is sent on request. Booking runs through an introductory video call, then a non-refundable retainer and a signed contract; closer to the day there is a questionnaire and an in-person planning meeting.
The Heirloom Package delivers the ceremony and the speeches recorded in full with professional audio, plus all the raw video footage from the day, alongside the edited film, the image gallery and a hand-crafted album. Handing over the raw footage is unusual and it means nothing spoken on the day is lost.
