75 Reid St is Fitzroy North’s community-hearted blank canvas — a beautifully refurbished 1920s building near Edinburgh Gardens whose auditorium’s sweeping arched ceiling, warm brick and natural light do the decorating for you. It’s hosted the neighbourhood since 1924.
Weddings take over the Auditorium — arched timber ceiling, seating for up to 280 theatre-style and room for concerts, ceremonies and candlelit long-table receptions — with smaller rooms alongside for every scale from 3 to 300 guests. The venue’s superpower is freedom: no minimum spend, BYO food and drink, food trucks welcome, and a full commercial kitchen for whichever caterer you love.
Budget-savvy and DIY couples who want inner-north character and total control over catering, drinks and styling.
The arched-ceiling Auditorium plus true BYO freedom — a heritage room where the bar bill is whatever you make it.
