Oranje Tractor Wine
About
Overview & Vibe
Oranje Tractor is a certified-organic vineyard at Marbelup, just outside Albany, and its wedding offer is built around a single idea: that the day should cost the planet as little as possible. The owners, Murray Gomm and Pamela Lincoln, planted the vineyard in 1998, achieved organic certification in 2005, and had their carbon-negative status independently confirmed in 2022 — the property absorbs six times the CO₂ its vineyard emits, with no offsets. Rather than simply advertise a paddock, they assembled a local Eco Weddings Team of celebrants, florists, caterers and musicians who work the same way.
Setting & Style
Rustic and deliberately vintage. The tasting room is a brick and corrugated-iron building packed with salvaged and vintage pieces, reached by a walk through extensive organic gardens — a potager, an espaliered “fruit salad” orchard of twelve apple varieties, olives, avocados and boysenberries. Ceremonies happen outdoors among the vines and gardens under rustic arbors, with guests seated on mismatched vintage wooden chairs. The styling is not hired in from elsewhere: Albany Vintage Hire is the owners' own collection, and it furnishes the packages.
Ideal For
Small weddings — genuinely small. The entry package is built for up to ten guests, and the two larger ones seat twenty-five. Couples who want a low-impact celebration and would rather have every supplier chosen for their practices than have three hundred people in a marquee. Also well suited to guests with access needs: the tasting room floor is level, doorways meet wheelchair and pram regulations, and the terraced outdoor area has dining tables a wheelchair can draw up to.
The Need-to-Knows
Three packages are published with prices, all plus GST: Leave No Trace (three hours mid-week, up to ten guests) at $6,400; Tread Lightly (six hours, Saturdays) at $15,200; and Eco Lux at $23,500. Each is close to all-inclusive — celebrant, photographer, flowers, styling, vintage furniture, food, cake, the estate's own wine and live musicians are all inside the price. Treat these figures as indicative and confirm them. The linked details pack is dated November 2022, and the “available dates” listed against the two larger packages carry no year. Note also that the cellar door itself is seasonal: June to September is pruning time and the property is open by appointment only. On general visits the estate allows BYO picnic food but is strict that “no other alcohol” may be brought on site. There is no accommodation.
Standout Feature
$250 from every wedding goes to Gondwana Link, which is restoring a 1,000 km corridor of habitat across south-western Australia. Coupled with a venue that is carbon negative without buying offsets, it makes this one of the few Australian wedding venues where the environmental claim is specific, measured and verifiable rather than decorative.

Price Notes
- Three Eco Wedding packages are published, each with a price, and each unusually close to all-inclusive. 1) LEAVE NO TRACE — "a mid week, three hour DIY package to enjoy with up to 10 of your loved ones": celebrant, three hours of photography, bridal bouquet, vintage decor, 12 mismatched vintage wooden chairs, turned-leg signing table, vintage crockery, cutlery and glassware, four bottles of Oranje Tractor sparkling, rain water and a seasonal grazing table. Three hours, mid week and selected Saturdays, 11am-6pm. $6,400 plus GST. 2) TREAD LIGHTLY — celebrant, six hours of photography, on-the-day styling and design, local natives and cut flowers arranged, make up for the bride and two bridesmaids, vintage decor with a choice of rustic arbors, 25 mismatched wooden chairs, signing table, vintage crockery, cutlery, glassware, linen and props, hand-crafted stationery, seasonal canapes and platters, wedding cake, Oranje Tractor wine, Wilsons beer, shrub spritzers and sparkling rain water, and two live local musicians. Six hours, Saturdays, 11am-11pm. $15,200 plus GST. 3) ECO LUX — as above with ten hours of photography, full-service styling, bespoke florals, make up for the bride and four bridesmaids, unlimited vintage decor, customised stationery, a three-course sit-down seasonal share-plate menu, the full range of Oranje Tractor wine plus Artisan Brewing beer and Denmark heritage cider, four live musicians, vintage lawn games and an upcycled fire pit with farm-grown firewood. $23,500 plus GST. The venue donates $250 from every Eco Wedding to Gondwana Link, which is restoring 1,000 km of habitat across south western Australia. IMPORTANT CAVEAT ON CURRENCY: the downloadable "Eco Weddings Details" pack linked from this page has a PDF creation date of 27 November 2022, and the "Available dates" listed against the two larger packages (February 24th, March 24th, March 31st, April 28th and April 29th) carry no year. These prices should be confirmed with the venue rather than relied on. Separately, the cellar door is seasonal — June to September is pruning time and the property is open by appointment only, with regular Sunday opening 11am-5pm in spring, summer and autumn — and on ordinary visits BYO picnic food is permitted but "strictly no other alcohol". Liquor Licence No. 6180086918.
