Overview & Vibe

Gemma founded Fox and Luna in 2012 and has been photographing weddings from Ellenbrook, across Perth and the Swan Valley, ever since. Five collections run from three hours to twelve, $1,900 to $4,750, and every one of them names a minimum number of photographs you will get back — 150 at the short end, 600 at the long one. She shoots the day herself and brings in second photographers from her own team when a package calls for one.

Style & Approach

Candid with some posing, and natural light wherever possible — her own phrase is a happy mixture of candid and posed. The editing is vibrant, bright and crisp rather than muted. Couples describe her as calming, and more than one mentions asking for photographs that were not in your face and getting exactly that.

Ideal For

Couples who want the number in front of them before they enquire. This is one of the most completely priced sites in the region: every collection, the second photographer, the engagement session, both album sizes and the USB all carry a figure. Good for Swan Valley and Perth weddings of any size, and there is an elopement and micro-wedding option for anything under three hours.

Three to twelve hours. A sneak peek lands within 48 hours and the high-resolution files within eight weeks, ten over Christmas and New Year. Every image comes in colour and black and white with a release for private printing, and nothing is watermarked. A digital contract and retainer hold the date, and until both arrive the date is not reserved. Travel and accommodation may be charged beyond 50km of Ellenbrook.

Every collection of three hours or more includes a complimentary engagement session valued at $350, and a pre-wedding venue walkthrough for Perth venues. The walkthrough is unusual and practical: she sees the light and the spaces before the day rather than on it.

Keepsake album. Price: $850. Description: Ten by ten inches, forty pages across twenty spreads.
Parent album. Price: $600. Description: Six by six inches, forty pages across twenty spreads.
Keepsake USB and box. Price: $75. Description: A presentation box that also holds four by six inch prints, with local Western Australian postage included.

A date is not held until the digital contract and retainer are both returned.
