Paul Winzar has photographed more than 350 Perth weddings across sixteen years, at over fifty venues, and the work is deliberately quiet. He describes the approach as presence over posing: he stays out of the way, lets the day run at its own pace, and photographs what actually happens rather than arranging it. Digital coverage starts at $2,900 for six hours, and collections are shaped around the day instead of the day being shaped around a package.
An art background sits underneath all of it. Paul exhibited in Perth before photography became full time, and learned on a fully manual 35mm film camera, which still shows in the attention to composition, tone and timing. The result reads as editorial rather than traditional: candid moments, natural light, restrained direction. Couples can add genuine 35mm film alongside the digital coverage, delivered as high resolution scans, for a hybrid look that is modern and a little nostalgic at once.
Couples who dislike being photographed, and who would rather have the day recorded than directed. Paul takes a limited number of weddings each year and photographs every one himself from start to finish, so there is no team and no chance of being handed to someone else. The unlimited approach suits long or multi-location days: no capped gallery, no limit on locations, and no clock on how many photographs come back.
The published collection is six hours of digital coverage from $2,900, and collections can be tailored for an intimate ceremony or a full weekend of events. Every image is edited by Paul personally, with nothing outsourced, and delivered in high resolution without watermarks or restrictions. The online gallery stays open for twelve months, and fine art prints and wall pieces can be ordered from it through a professional lab. Albums, an engagement session and 35mm film are add-ons; no figure is published for those.
No image limits at all. There is no capped gallery and no set number of photographs — as Paul puts it, if it happens, you get it. Combined with unlimited locations, it removes the usual pressure to ration the day around what the package allows.
