The Canberra Southern Cross Club runs five sites across the ACT — Woden, Tuggeranong, Jamison, the Yacht Club on Lake Burley Griffin, and Snapper Co — and has been putting on Canberra weddings for more than forty years.
The scale is the point. The Corinna Ballroom at Woden is an immense pillarless room that takes a thousand for a cocktail event, with Corinna 2 alongside it as the second largest ballroom and its own private bar, and Corinna 3 and 4 for smaller groups. Tuggeranong contributes the Brindabella Room, Jamison the character-filled Catchpole Room, and the Yacht Club brings the water: the Lotus Room for private dining with lake views, a light-filled Balcony with expansive views over Lake Burley Griffin that keeps guests outdoors but sheltered, and the Yacht Club Restaurant available for exclusive booking. Packages are per head with a minimum of fifty guests, and free parking at the suburban sites is a practical advantage most Canberra venues can’t match.
Couples wanting a large, well-priced Canberra reception with a lake-view option in the same booking.
A pillarless ballroom for a thousand guests, and a lake-view balcony at the Yacht Club, under one booking.
