Wedding Venues · Canberra, Australian Capital Territory · Visit in person
Gold Creek Station is a 400-hectare working farm at Hall, twenty minutes from the Canberra CBD, run by the Starr family for nearly fifty years. The wedding venue is Kinleyside Manor, built from recycled materials sourced around the country, and the offer is unusually clear: your wedding is the only event on the property that day, and every price is published for both 2026 and 2027.
The manor has “three separate indoor areas and several covered outdoor areas”, with classic deep verandas, timber throughout and a stained-glass entrance the venue’s own photographs return to again and again. Ceremonies happen wherever you like in the grounds — the Ceremonial Arbor set among the gums with bench seating, The Old Hay Shed, inside the function centre, or, in the venue’s own words, “simply pick a nice big shady tree”.
Couples who want a country property to themselves within half an hour of the city, at almost any scale — the manor seats up to 300, and there is a separate small-wedding package for 30. Also for anyone who would rather compare real numbers than book a site inspection to find out what a venue.
Venue hire is charged on top of the per-head price. Securing a date for 2027, the ceremony – more when booked with a reception, and menus run. Budget honestly: a 100-guest plated wedding is before extras. Two practical limits — the venue closes at 11:30pm and any time past that an hour, and the small-wedding package is Sunday to Thursday year-round, with Friday and Saturday only in winter.
Exclusivity at this price point. “Your wedding will be the only event on that day, giving you a secluded and quiet location that is all yours for the day” — 400 hectares, a heritage manor and friendly farm animals, twenty minutes from Parliament House. The 1929 Chevrolet Roadster is available if you want the entrance to match.
