Emily Keogh has run her studio in Bathurst for thirteen years, and the tone of the whole operation is plain-spoken and unfussy. She does something almost no photographer does: she prints the price, the hours, the number of photographs and the delivery method in a single short list, with no enquiry required to find out. If you want to know what you are buying before you email anyone, this is the clearest listing in the Central West.
Natural light, worked outdoors around Bathurst’s paddocks, gums and gardens. Her published wedding frames are golden-hour and unhurried — a couple walking away through dry grass, a reflection held in a still pond, a pair of rings set on a slice of wood. She is an international award winner and has been named among the district’s three best photographers five years running.
Couples who want the ceremony and the first part of the reception covered properly and are content to let the night run on without a camera. Her coverage is written to end when dinner is served, which suits a daytime or early-evening wedding and keeps the cost predictable.
Coverage runs five to six hours and finishes as the main course goes out. You receive a minimum of 150 edited images on a USB, with sneak peeks two to three weeks after the day and the full set at ten to twelve weeks. A deposit secures the date and travel is charged separately. Extra images can be bought individually if you want more than the set.
She is one of the very few photographers in this campaign who publishes a wedding figure outright rather than gating it behind a form — and she publishes the inclusions beside it, down to the reception entrance and the cake cut. Nothing about the booking is a surprise.
