Raes on Wategos
About
Overview & Vibe
Raes on Wategos is Byron's white Mediterranean icon on the sand at Wategos Beach — a boutique beachfront hotel of exotic charm where weddings take over the whole retreat: dining room, cellar bar, pool, spa and every suite.
Setting & Style
Hotel exclusivity runs over a minimum two-night stay — welcome drinks in the Cellar Bar on arrival night, then the full hotel closed for the wedding day: 50 seated or 75 standing across Raes Dining Room and the umbrella-shaded beachside terrace, with Executive Chef Jason Saxby's Mediterranean-inflected menus and a refined cellar. Smaller celebrations book the Dining Room (50 seated), the Cellar Bar (30 seated / 40 standing) or a penthouse for fifteen. The hotel's seven suites sleep sixteen, the guesthouses a minute away add eleven rooms for twenty-two more.
Ideal For
Couples wanting Australia's most famous small beach hotel to themselves — barefoot glamour metres from Wategos sand.
