Moments Photography & Film is Shyani and Simon, a Sydney husband and wife team who photograph and film weddings together. Shyani started the business in 2015 and Simon joined later, bringing a background in event, fashion and editorial photography for brands including Disney and Vogue. They are drawn to the Southern Highlands and to colourful, vintage-inspired celebrations.

In their own words the approach is timeless yet modern, blending documentary storytelling with a love for colour, emotion and depth, and the tagline is candid, colourful storytelling for real people. Editing is kept true to life, with only essential adjustments, because they do not like heavily processed photographs. They also shoot genuine film — 35mm stills, 120mm medium format and Super 8 motion film, all lab processed and scanned.

Wedding photography starts from $3,500 including GST for six hours, with more than 600 edited images, an online gallery, a welcome guide, a consultation and a personalised timeline, and travel within 100km of the Sydney CBD. Super 8 videography is $800, a 35mm film add-on is $350 for two rolls and 120mm medium format is $200 for one, and a ten-inch square thirty-page lay-flat linen album is $1,200. Booking both photography and videography saves $150. A twenty per cent booking fee is non-refundable, the balance falls due seven days before the day, and dates are taken up to eighteen months ahead.
