Jindabyne sits on its lake at the edge of Kosciuszko National Park, and the Snowy Mountains give couples a wedding landscape nothing else in Australia matches — alpine peaks, snow gums, high plains and water that turns steel blue under weather. Lakeside lawns and mountain lodges carry most of the celebrations.
The seasons are the whole point. Winter brings snow ceremonies and fires at Thredbo and Perisher; summer opens the high country to wildflowers, granite tors and long evenings that hold light until nine.
