About

Overview & Vibe

Divon is a team rather than a single photographer, run by Franky out of two Sydney studios - one in the Dymocks Building on George Street and a studio and gallery at St Leonards. They have been photographing Sydney weddings since 2008 and shoot roughly a wedding a week, which shows in how unflustered the work looks.

Style & Approach

They describe their own style as timeless, classic and intimate, and the working method as unobtrusive - moving through the day discreetly and documenting it rather than staging it. The balance they aim for is candid with just enough guidance, so there are natural frames and properly composed portraits in the same gallery. The trophy cabinet backs it up: Asia Wedding Photographers Association Photographer of the Year, WPPI print awards, and a place in Sony’s top thirty wedding photographers in Australia.

Ideal For

Couples marrying in and around Sydney who want a team rather than one pair of hands - two photographers are the standard recommendation, and there are videographers in-house if you want film as well. They are a particularly good fit for weddings with cultural ceremonies; tea ceremonies and bilingual celebrations are a regular part of their work.

The Need-to-Knows

Coverage is sold by the hour, starting at six, with twelve the most popular choice and a minimum of eight on in-season Saturdays. Photographs come back as high-resolution files on a USB. Prices are not published - the studio emails its packages once you send an enquiry - and there is no stated delivery time, so ask for both in writing. You meet the team before booking, at a studio or over video, and your photographer is matched to you afterwards.

Standout Feature

Two walk-in studios. Almost no wedding photographer at this level has a gallery you can visit and a CBD meeting room, and it makes the album and print conversation a great deal easier to have.

Albums & Prints

  • Printed Album — price on enquiry. Certain photographers on the team only shoot weddings where a printed album is part of the collection.

Appointment Policy

  • Every couple meets the team before booking, either at the studio or over a video call, and the right photographer is assigned after that meeting.
