Ooh-Aah Invitations is a Sydney wedding stationery studio, based in Leichhardt, that has been making invitations since 2008. It is best known for hardcover book-style wedding invitations, and it also makes boxed, suede, acrylic, tri-fold and single board invitations, save the dates and on-the-day stationery. Orders are designed with you by email, phone or video and shipped from Sydney to Australia and overseas.

Style & Printing

The look is luxe and traditional. Gold, rose gold and silver foil, embossing and debossing, die cut pockets that hold RSVP and information cards, and premium Italian card stocks and European suede feature across the range, with letterpress, laser cutting and white ink on acrylic for selected designs. A monogram is built from your initials and custom colours can be requested.

Couples who want a substantial, tactile invitation and are happy to work with a designer remotely or in the Sydney showroom by appointment. It suits couples marrying interstate or overseas too, because the whole process runs by email and phone and a sample pack can be posted first.

Appointment Policy

Showroom visits in Leichhardt, Sydney, are by appointment on Saturdays and Sundays only, with an initial face-to-face consultation of about 60 minutes.
Consultations by phone, video and email are available for clients who cannot visit, and enquiries are answered within one working day.
A design is not created on the spot at a consultation; the digital proof follows once payment and wording are received.

We ship worldwide with DHL Express.
Orders are shipped from Sydney, Australia, and the same customised design service is offered to customers outside Sydney by phone and email.
Our work is shipped to over 100 countries worldwide.

Booking & Deposit

A 50% deposit is paid up front and is non-refundable unless you cancel within three business days of paying it. The balance is due before delivery or on collection.

Delivery & Postage

Worldwide delivery with tracking, and a signature is required on arrival.
Wedding invitations and bulky orders are quoted with the best DHL Express rate for your location; international orders go by DHL Express.
Event stationery bought at checkout has flat postage: Express Post within Australia is $25 and Regular Registered Post is $19.
Within Australia, express to metro areas takes one to two business days and registered post three to seven; allow one to three more days for WA and rural areas.
International express to major cities takes three to five business days; customs duties and taxes are the receiver's responsibility.
Orders can be collected from the Sydney showroom by appointment, and seating charts are collection only.

Minimum Order

The minimum invitation order is 20, and some designs are offered from 40 or 60 invitations.

Per-Piece Pricing

Printing guest names and addresses directly on envelopes, with a return address, is $5.00 per invitation.
Mini RSVP envelopes are $2.00 per invitation.

Price Notes

Prices are in Australian dollars, and invitation and stationery prices include GST. The separate fees below are published differently: some are stated plus GST and some as bare figures, so confirm the basis with the studio before you budget. The studio also shows prices in United States dollars to overseas visitors.
Invitation prices are totals for the quantity you choose, and every design has its own price ladder, so the figures listed are entry points.
Ask the studio for a quote on menus, table numbers, order of service booklets, thank you cards and gift tags.
A small reprint after production costs a flat $550 for invitations or $132 for other stationery, plus the unit price.
A print-ready file of your monogram is a flat $99.
Printing in a second language alongside English adds a flat $150 plus GST.

Proofs & Revisions

A digital proof is usually emailed within one to three business days of receiving your payment and your wording. The studio also quotes up to seven working days after a deposit, so ask which applies to your order.
Up to three rounds of minor revisions are included, such as changes to font, size and colour, text layout or the position of graphics.
Each round of changes takes about one to three working days.
Further changes after the third round are charged at $120 per hour plus GST.
Once you approve the proof, your order goes to print and no further changes can be made. Approval is accepted by email.
A printed sample of your own design is not made because of the set-up cost; a sample pack shows the stock and finish instead.

Turnaround Time

Printing and assembly takes three to four weeks after you approve your proof for standard booklets, boards and acrylic invitations.
Express printing is available for an additional fee, paid at the start of the design process.
Send save the dates six to twelve months before the wedding, and twelve months ahead for a destination wedding.
