Peppermint Press is a Sydney design studio that has been making modern wedding stationery since 2012, working by appointment from Lane Cove West on the lower north shore. The register is contemporary rather than traditional — clean typography, watercolour and ink-wash illustration, and a run of named collections designed as complete sets so the save-the-date, the invitation and the table menu all belong to each other. Everything is semi-custom: you choose a collection, then the colours, wording and finishes are tailored to you by one designer who stays with your order from start to finish.
Around twenty collections run from soft and botanical through to stark and editorial, alongside a separate range of signature cut shapes. Printing is digital, letterpress or foil, with debossing available and wax sealing offered as a finish in its own right, including custom-made seal stamps. ⓘ One honest limit worth knowing: letterpress cannot be done in white ink, because letterpress inks are semi-transparent — the studio suggests a white foil pressed into the card to get a similar effect. Invitations come with premium white euro-flap envelopes as standard, with coloured envelopes as an upgrade.
Couples who want a coordinated look across the whole wedding without commissioning bespoke work, and who would rather buy a piece at a time than negotiate a quote. Because each item is priced openly and sold separately, it suits a bride who wants to start with save-the-dates and decide about menus and place cards later. It also works well from a distance: the whole process runs through an online questionnaire and emailed proofs, consultations can be booked online, and the studio ships worldwide — so it is a realistic choice for a couple marrying interstate or overseas.
The prices are all on the page. For a trade where almost every studio answers with “request a quote”, this one lists what an invitation, a menu, a place card, a seating chart and a welcome sign each cost, before you speak to anyone — so you can build a realistic stationery budget in an evening. A $19.95 sample pack with printed examples and colour swatches makes that judgement a tactile one rather than a guess.
