DigiFilm Australia is Christopher Knight, a Darwin photographer working from a studio and office in Palmerston, twenty minutes from the city. The business is a second generation one: his father Terry Knight began it in the nineteen sixties with a full colour and black and white darkroom, and it became DigiFilm Australia in 2005. He offers more than twenty nine years of wedding experience.
He does not impose a house style. The studio describes its wedding work as professional photography customised to a couple’s own style and any budget, with coverage shaped around what each couple wants rather than sold as fixed collections. The stated aim is a quality product and a friendly experience, leaving the day itself to the couple and their family.
Couples marrying around Darwin and Palmerston who would rather assemble their own package than choose from set tiers, and those who want prints and albums as well as files. Single or multiple photographers can be provided, and in-house drone and aerial work is available alongside the ground coverage.
Custom wedding photography starts from $3,000. Coverage can run from pre-wedding preparations and the ceremony through bridal party photographs to the reception. Every image is delivered as a high resolution edited digital file, and a quote is prepared on enquiry rather than published as a fixed price list.
The studio prints and finishes its own work. A package can take in fine art photographic prints, framed enlargements and presentation wedding albums, and the business also runs photographic tuition and equipment hire from its Palmerston premises, including a twenty square metre private studio.
