Wedding Photographers · Darwin, Northern Territory
Toni Walsh was born and raised in Darwin, and she has photographed more than two hundred weddings across the Top End in a little over a decade. She started after a bad experience with the photography at her own wedding, and the whole business is built around not repeating it: organised, honest, guided, and comfortable enough that you forget she is there. She also runs a portrait studio and, unusually, underwater sessions.
Earthy, warm, moody and rustic tones, with strong contrast, and the day captured as it naturally unfolds. In her own words she likes to hide behind a tree to catch your candid reactions and the emotions of your guests, so you can spend the day with the people who came for it rather than looking for the camera.
Couples marrying anywhere around Darwin and the Territory who want warm, moody images and a photographer who knows the light here. Her published work runs from escarpment gorges and bush tracks to harbour sunsets, church aisles and backyard receptions.
Wedding photography starts from $2,300. Coverage hours, turnaround and the list of what you receive are not published, so ask about all three when you enquire. Wall art collections, albums and digital file collections are chosen afterwards, one-on-one with her in the studio. Contact is by phone or email; there is no online booking.
Underwater portraits. It is a real, separately priced line she has trained for, including work with expectant mothers, and almost nobody else in the Territory offers it. If you want something after the wedding that looks like nothing else, it is already on her list.
