Landi Bradshaw photographs weddings across the Top End and the East Kimberley, working out of Darwin and travelling back to Kununurra through the year. Her wedding work is unmistakably of this country — ceremonies under boab trees, portraits on red rock at golden hour, and couples stepping out of helicopters and light aircraft onto a station airstrip. She writes that weddings here “are like nothing else and there’s a type of magic you can’t quite put into words”.
She describes her shooting style as relaxed and unobtrusive, with the aim of taking the pressure off so a couple can enjoy the day — “it will feel like we’re all hanging out for the day… and I just happen to be taking photos too”. What she looks for is the small real thing: the quiet smiles, the tears during the ceremony, the interactions between friends and family, and the moments nobody planned.
Couples marrying in the East Kimberley or the Northern Territory who want an outback or station wedding photographed by someone who lives in that landscape rather than flying in for the weekend. She covers elopements, small weddings and large ones alike, and is taking bookings for both the current and the following season.
Package details are sent on enquiry rather than published, so a couple should get in touch with a date to see what is available. She has no public studio and works from Darwin, moving between the Territory and Kununurra through the year, and also spends time in Perth and the South West. Her fine art albums are priced openly on the site.
The hand-bound fine art albums, made by a South Australian lab with a raw linen cover, personalised engraving and thick lay-flat pages, presented in a linen keepsake box. She selects the images herself so the couple is not left with the job, shipping within Australia is free, and a smaller duplicate for parents or grandparents is twenty per cent less.
