Siobhan — Shiv to almost everyone — photographs weddings out of Darwin, and the way she got there shows in the work. She grew up in Victoria, spent years on the Sunshine Coast, then drove across the country in a 4WD with her dog before calling the Top End home. The weddings she is drawn to are the ones tied to a place that already means something: outdoors, on family properties, by the ocean, beside a river, under open skies.
She documents the day as it unfolds rather than staging it — her own line is no forced poses, no awkward staging, just genuine emotion and stunning light. Most of her couples tell her they are awkward in front of a camera, so she gives natural direction that keeps things easy and then gets out of the way to catch the candid moments. She is happy to work from a Pinterest board or to let the day flow, and says one of her favourite weddings she ever shot was in pouring rain.
Couples who want beautiful photographs but not at the cost of actually enjoying the day, and who care more about the people and the place than a perfect production. Equally at home with a full Territory wedding, a small elopement on a family property or a remote celebration somewhere that takes a plane and a 4WD to reach.
Three collections: The Essentials at $4,499 for up to six hours and 400+ images, The Signature at $5,499 for eight hours, 600+ images and a roll of 35mm film, and The Complete Story at $7,499 for ten hours, 1000+ images, a second shooter and three rolls of film. Sneak peeks land within 24 to 48 hours and the full gallery in seven to twenty-eight days depending on the collection. A signed contract and a retainer hold the date. She travels anywhere in Australia for a flat rate travel fee. From 2027 she will be based in Victoria again, returning to Darwin on selected dates, so couples marrying that year should ask about availability early.
The Super 8 films. For couples who want movement from the day but not a whole videography team, she shoots short, music-led, colour-graded highlight films alongside the photographs — in Super 8 or digital, delivered vertical for a phone, made to be rewatched rather than archived. They start at $1,500 and she shoots them herself.
