Heartstory Photography works from a studio in Belconnen, in Canberra’s north, and describes itself as a team of award-winning wedding photographers who are also storytellers. Its two principals bring more than forty years of professional experience between them, one of them after running a family and wedding photography business in Sydney for twelve years, and the studio has been photographing Canberra families since 2009.
The studio describes its work as authentic and creative photography that reflects a couple’s own style and connection, brought with a relaxed manner and a professional service. Couples writing about the experience mention photographers who knew when to go with the flow and captured intimate moments without imposing, and who were often barely noticed on the day.
Couples marrying in Canberra, the Blue Mountains, Sydney or regional New South Wales, and those planning an elopement. The team says it has photographed everything from the most intimate low-key weddings to productions with more than three hundred guests, and from rustic farm weddings to something closer to Hollywood glamour.
Wedding coverage starts from $3,500 and every package includes a high resolution gallery of images together with a credit towards wall art or an album. Only a limited number of wedding bookings are taken each season. Bookings are accepted in any location, and enquiries are made through the contact form rather than a published price list.
The studio designs and makes its own products. Framed prints are printed in house on Canson cotton rag paper and framed locally, alongside canvas and metal pieces, wall collections and completely custom artworks. Photobooks and albums start at $2,095 and digital packages at $1,000, with matching digital files included on print orders above $1,700.
