Ceremonies happen in The Haus Courtyard — box-hedged paths, roses, rows of lavender, a water fountain, a walnut tree and a 130-year-old pear tree, framed by historic wooden buildings with the original water well still in place. The venue also arranges off-site ceremonies at The Cedars and at Hahndorf Lavender Estate.

Couples who want a Hills wedding they can walk to from their accommodation, at a manageable scale, with the catering handled by the venue rather than brought in.

It takes 10 to 120 guests across several private rooms — a genuinely wide band at the small end, and a hard ceiling at the large end.
The ceremony may not be on site. Two of the three named ceremony options — The Cedars and Hahndorf Lavender Estate — are other properties, so a second booking and transport are involved.

Price Notes

The venue publishes a 'Haus Wedding Pack' and a 'Ceremony Site Selection' download. The venue's packages are described only as 'flexible and affordable wedding packages'.
Every dollar figure published is restaurant trade rather than weddings: Sunday roast $24.90 from 5pm, schnitzel Tuesdays $21.50 from 11am, 300g steak frites $28.90 or chicken wings from $14.90 on Wednesdays, and pasta $21.50 from 11am on Mondays.
Two of the three ceremony options are off-site, at The Cedars and Hahndorf Lavender Estate. Those are separate properties with their own access and presumably their own fees; the venue does not publish what it charges to arrange them. Only the courtyard is at 38a Main Street.
The venue is part of the Haus Group — functions enquiries go to functions@thehausgroup.com.au and are handled by the group's functions and events coordinator.

Accommodation is adjacent rather than on site. The Haus Studios are self-contained studio apartments on Main Street, and the venue describes itself as "minutes away from boutique accommodation venues" — which is not the same as having rooms on the property.
