Overview & Vibe
Confetti is the big one in Tasmania — 750 published products across bridal, bridesmaid, formal, cocktail and mother-of-the-bride, run from a single Collins Street shopfront in the middle of Hobart. It is the opposite of the appointment-only studio: a working dress shop with racks of colour, a bridal room, and an in-house alterations service.

141 bridal products across eight labels, led by its own Confetti Luxe (53 gowns) and Opal Collection (23), with Made With Love Bridal, Justin Alexander, Lillian West, Allure Bridals, Maya Bella and a house Pearl Collection. The bridal range is browsable three ways at once — by silhouette (fitted, flowy, ball gown, mini), by fabric (crepe, lace, satin, mikado, beaded) and by neckline (V-neck, strapless, off-shoulder, high neck). Bridesmaids run through Tania Olsen and Nicoletta; formal adds Tinaholly and Confetti Formal.
Ideal For
Any size, and any budget. Samples in store run size 6 to 32 an exceptionally wide try-on range — most of those gowns can be ordered in 2 to 40, and depending on the designer the store can order 0 to 40+. Bridal products run with a median. If a bride is outside even that range, the FAQ says the team has ‘creative ways of making sure you can experience the look of your desired dress’.
The Need-to-Knows
Bridal appointments run 60 to 90 minutes and are booked online. Ordering takes a deposit, with the balance due when the gown arrives; ready-to-wear stock is paid in full. Formal and bridesmaid dresses can take up to four months to arrive, so the store asks for at least six months’ lead time on those. Alterations are done in house, typically over two to three fittings.
Standout Feature
It tells you where the front door. The FAQ answers ‘Where are you located?’ with “85 Collins street, Hobart 7000 Tasmania (Find us two doors down from JB Hifi in the heart of Hobart city!)” the kind of direction a person actually gives, and one of very few stores to publish one.
