Wedding Photographers · Hobart, Tasmania
Edward Noel Photo is Ed, a documentary-style wedding and elopement photographer based in Hobart who has been shooting weddings full-time since 2016. The published work runs from a vineyard wedding at Frogmore Creek and a Hobart boutique hotel to a lounge-room ceremony at Birch’s Bay and elopements out on the east coast.
Documentary for most of the day, in his own description — you might not notice he is there. For portraits he offers as much or as little direction as a couple wants, and he is explicit that a portrait session is optional: if being photographed makes you anxious, he would rather plan something else than have you do it because everyone does.
Couples who want the day recorded rather than staged, at either scale. Wedding collections cover more than fifteen guests and elopement collections fewer, so a full-day party and a two-hour weekday ceremony are both catered for by name. He also states plainly that he does not offer videography, and recommends other Tasmanian videographers instead.
Coverage runs from two hours up to a full day of around eight, and every price includes GST. A twenty-five percent retainer holds the date and the balance falls due thirty days before the wedding; payment plans and credit card payments are both available. Travel is free within 100km of Hobart CBD. Elopement collections are weekday rates, with weekends carrying a flat $500 fee. Every package includes unlimited images with no watermarks, a print release, an online gallery with a print store and a next-day sneak peek.
A forty-page wedding guide is included with every package, written from having attended a lot of weddings, and the nostalgic extras are unusual: instax wide polaroids taken on the day, linen-covered fine art print boxes, and custom albums with hand-torn silk place-holding ribbon.
