Daniel Livings photographs weddings and elopements on the east coast of Tasmania. The published record runs through Freycinet, the Bay of Fires, Coles Bay, Bicheno, Swansea and St Helens.
He cut his teeth as a travel and landscape photographer and applies a photojournalistic lens to storytelling. His own test is simple: if it looks and feels right, it might be something beautiful. The phrase he leads with is capturing love, however that may exist, through timeless imagery.
Couples eloping somewhere wild on the Tasmanian coast, and anyone who wants the day pared back. He is an advocate for environmental sustainability and minimalism, and argues openly that a wedding does not need every fancy widget to be beautiful, which makes him a natural fit for a smaller, lower-waste celebration.
Elopements weddings and engagement sessions; a combined photography-and-celebrant elopement package. He suggests two hours for most elopements and a minimum of four for a wedding, and extra hours can be added on the day. Turnaround is generally two weeks for a wedding and one for an elopement, delivered through Pic-Time in both web and print sizes.
He is a genuine east-coast local rather than a visitor, and the portfolio proves it: roughly fourteen published weddings and elopements between Bicheno, Freycinet, Swansea and the Bay of Fires, plus a run of proposals along the same stretch of coast.
