Barilla Bay is a working Tasmanian oyster farm on the Tasman Highway at Cambridge, minutes from Hobart Airport — a restaurant over Pittwater where weddings come with the freshest shellfish in the state and water views on three sides.
Ceremonies take the garden Gazebo and greens — 30 seated with standing room for fifty more — before receptions move inside the Restaurant, where floor-to-ceiling windows overlook Pittwater and up to 110 dine seated with a dance floor, or 250 mingle cocktail-style. The Pearl Room hosts intimate dinners of 30, a dedicated events coordinator plans the day, and the oyster farm below supplies the raw bar. Note: ceremony-only bookings aren’t taken — this is a full wedding house.
Seafood-loving couples wanting a relaxed waterside wedding — oysters shucked metres from the table and the airport ten minutes from the door.
The oyster farm at the bottom of the garden — the wedding menu’s star grows in the bay outside the window.
