David Muir is a Hobart wedding and elopement photographer, and a former intensive care nurse. He is direct about what that background brought him: both jobs turn on building a relationship quickly, and he credits it for the way he puts couples at ease. Published work runs from waterfront villas and vineyard estates around Hobart to weddings on Victoria’s Mornington Peninsula.

Couples who want the day documented without being directed through it, at either scale — full weddings and intimate elopements are both published in quantity. Anyone marrying at a Tasmanian venue will find it in his galleries, and he travels interstate and internationally as well.
Coverage runs from seven to nine hours, delivering 500 or more high-resolution images on the shorter package and 700 or more on the longer, in colour and black and white. Galleries arrive through Pixieset within four to six weeks, and can be shared with family and friends. A twenty percent deposit secures the date, and he recommends booking nine to twelve months ahead. A travel fee applies according to the location.
The planning is unusually structured: a bespoke timeline is drafted for the day, discussed three months out, amended through the lead-up and locked two to four weeks before. He also offers to show a complete recent wedding gallery rather than a highlights reel, on the reasoning that couples should see the whole of what they will receive.
