Kandi Lane Photography is Emma’s studio, based in Melbourne’s south east and working right across Victoria. She has been photographing weddings for more than twenty years, and the pitch is refreshingly plain: five clearly priced packages from four hours to twelve, unlimited photos on the day, and travel anywhere in the state at no extra charge. The work is warm and unfussy rather than styled to within an inch of itself.
She describes her style as candid and romantic, and is explicit that she is not there to direct every moment but to capture what is real — the quiet moments and the loud ones. The result is relaxed and natural, shot unhurried, with full colour correction and close-up retouching on every frame rather than a heavily filtered look.
Couples marrying anywhere in Victoria who want one photographer for the whole state without a travel line on the invoice. The venue-by-venue knowledge is unusually deep across Ballarat, the Mornington Peninsula and the Dandenong Ranges, each of which has its own guide on the site, and there is a videography option with the same team if you want motion as well as stills.
Photography collections run from $1,900 for four hours to $4,900 for twelve, and every package includes a preliminary meeting, unlimited photos, full editing, fifty prints and a custom engraved USB. Galleries are quoted at an eight to ten week turnaround. A complimentary engagement shoot is included with all packages, conditions apply, and booking photo and video together saves ten per cent across both.
The pricing is published in full — five named tiers with their hours, inclusions and figures all on one page — which is rare enough among wedding photographers to be worth the trip on its own, and it sits alongside a stated no-travel-surcharge policy for the whole of Victoria.
