Calida has photographed weddings around Mildura for over ten years, and she is unembarrassed about what she is going for: rom-com energy. Her own pitch asks you to remember not what the day looked like but how it felt to marry your favourite person, and the published work backs it — belly laughs, confetti, a groom in a kilt on a vineyard track, a bride kissing her mother mid-ceremony while the guests watch.
Relaxed and heartfelt, worked in natural light and unposed. She promises to guide you when you need it and then step back, and she is candid that most couples arrive convinced they are awkward in front of a camera. Sunrise and sunset are her stated favourite hours, and the Sunraysia light in her frames shows why.
Couples marrying in Mildura, the Murray River country or the surrounding vineyards who want the day to feel like a party they attended rather than a shoot they sat for. She works alongside your celebrant and venue on the running order, so she also suits couples who want the photography planned rather than improvised.
A $500 booking fee secures the date and the balance falls due thirty days before. She does not hold dates — it is first come, first served on a signed contract. Travel runs to one hour from Mildura at $100 per hour travelled, and she takes a deliberately limited number of weddings a year. Sneak peeks land within 24 to 48 hours and the full gallery inside six weeks.
Every couple gets a complimentary sunset engagement session, built in rather than sold as an add-on. She calls it the prequel before the main event, and its real purpose is that the first time you properly meet her is not on your wedding morning.
