Ben and Prue Little are a husband-and-wife photography duo in Broome, and between them they have photographed more than two hundred weddings across the Kimberley in over ten years. They live there with their two children, Florence and Tom, and spend their time off camping and fishing along the same coast they photograph — which is why their work knows exactly where the light lands on the red pindan cliffs at the end of the day.
They describe the style as relaxed, natural and authentic, and the method as a “fly on the wall” one — letting the day unfold and quietly catching the real moments rather than staging them. They are clear that this does not mean leaving couples stranded: they love candid frames, but they step in with gentle direction whenever it is wanted. The published work bears it out, moving between big environmental frames on the cliffs and close, unposed pictures of people laughing. They also mention, drily, that you might see them shooting barefoot.
Couples marrying anywhere between Cable Beach and the Dampier Peninsula, and particularly anyone planning a Kimberley wedding from a long way away — they offer to put couples in touch with their own local supplier team in Broome, which is the single hardest part of arranging a wedding this remote. Their published weddings run through Willie Creek Pearl Farm, the Cable Beach Club, The Billi Resort, The Mangrove Hotel, Eco Beach and Roebuck Bay, and they photograph elopements as readily as full days.
Wedding pricing is not published — there is no wedding package page, no coverage length and no delivery time on the site, so all of that is worth asking in the first email. The published package prices on this site belong to their family sessions, not to weddings, so do not read across from them. Contact is by email, and they are happy to meet over coffee, at a bar, or simply talk on the phone.
Two photographers for the price of asking, both of whom live where you are marrying. A husband-and-wife team covers a wedding day from two angles at once without a hired second shooter meeting the couple for the first time that morning — and in a town where most wedding suppliers fly in, being locals is not a marketing line. It is why they can offer the vendor introductions at all.
