The proposition is the garden itself — “a variety of garden rooms… with splashes of colour and contrast at every corner” — and a marquee site with a valley view. Exclusive use of the whole venue comes with every wedding booking.

Setting & Style

Gravel paths meander between themed gardens: an olive garden, an exotic arboretum with a birch-lined fire pit, large ornamental lily ponds crossed by boardwalks and a timber bridge, Asian-inspired pagodas, and wisteria-clad arbours. The marquee site sits above it all, with a pink rose-covered arbour leading to a staircase the couple descend into their reception.

Ideal For

Couples who want a garden wedding they can run themselves — hire the grounds, bring a caterer, put up a marquee — or hand the whole thing over. The venue offers both and prices neither publicly.

The Need-to-Knows

Up to 160 guests in the gardens and marquee; a separate smaller function room takes up to 50.

From the weddings page: 'We are flexible with our venue packages and we tailor costings to suit our Bride and Grooms, every wedding is different and we pride ourselves in adapting to your special requirements from arranging all aspects of your day to supporting you to arrange and theme your special day.' And: 'we always aim to offer packages that suite every budget.' There is no per-head rate, hire fee, minimum spend, deposit or package figure anywhere on the site, and the domain serves no PDF. Recorded as gated rather than not found.
TWO OPPOSITE MODELS ARE OFFERED AND THE VENUE IS EXPLICIT ABOUT BOTH: 'We have many options for your wedding ceremony and reception. You can hire the gardens, self-cater, setup your Marquee, decorate and manage the entire event yourself. Alternatively, Beautiful Beneagle Farm can arrange your event from concept to execution to ensure your day will be exception and one to be remembered!' A couple can therefore treat this as a bare-grounds hire or a full-service booking, and the price will differ accordingly.

THE VENUE RECOMMENDS A BUS, AND SAYS SO TWICE. 'The venue is approximately 35km from Wodonga easy commuting distance, many of our wedding parties hire a buses' and 'There is plenty of parking space at our venue, but we do recommend hiring a bus to allow your guests to enjoy your wedding responsibly.' At 35 km from the nearest city this is a real budget line.
THE GARDENS CAN BE BOOKED FOR PHOTOGRAPHY WITHOUT A WEDDING: 'Available for photography use without a venue booking. Beautiful Beneagle Farm welcomes photography bookings for brides, grooms and their wedding parties.' Unusual, and useful to a couple marrying elsewhere in the region.
THE NAME IS EXPLAINED ON THE SITE: 'Beautiful Beneagle Farm is named after the mountain Big Ben, named by the locals who watch the eagles soaring above the wind currents.'
THE ADDRESS IS PUBLISHED WITHOUT A POSTCODE. The site gives '3528 Kiewa Valley Highway, Kergunyah South VIC, Australia'; 3691 is the postcode for that locality and was added by a maps lookup, which the campaign's rules permit for addresses and contact details only.
