All Saints Estate
About
Overview & Vibe
An 1864 heritage-listed castle among the vines at Wahgunyah in the Rutherglen wine region, an hour west of Albury-Wodonga along the Murray. The Brown family have been making wine here since the estate was founded and hosting weddings for over thirty years. European-inspired is the estate's own phrase for it, and it fits: red brick turrets, box-hedge parterres, a fountain courtyard and a cellar full of century-old casks.
Setting & Style
Six distinct wedding spaces, indoor and out. The Driveway is a 300-metre avenue of 150-year-old English elms — the estate's signature ceremony shot. The Rose Garden takes up to 200 beside the water lily pond. The Fountain Courtyard, the most requested, sets long Tuscan-style tables at the foot of the castle. Inside, The Great Hall sits under festoon lights among turn-of-the-century oak casks, and The Cask Hall — lined with 5,000-litre barrels of maturing Muscat and Muscadelle, lit by drop chandeliers — is the grand one.
Ideal For
Couples who want a genuinely historic setting at almost any scale, from a fifty-guest dinner in the restaurant to three hundred under the chandeliers, with the whole Rutherglen wine region as the weekend.
The Need-to-Knows
- Pricing is on enquiry. The estate quotes each wedding individually rather than publishing packages, a per-head rate or a minimum spend. Ask for the Event Sales Coordinator on 1800 021 621.
- Match the space to your number — the ranges are firm at both ends. Cask Hall 100–300; Great Hall 50–130; KIN restaurant up to 50; Rose Garden up to 200 for a ceremony. Several rooms have a minimum as well as a maximum.
- Capacities shift with the table layout. The Great Hall is quoted at 130 for a wedding but seats up to 160 for a dinner, and the Cask Hall at 300 for a wedding or 250 fully seated — so confirm the number for your own layout when you enquire.
- Accommodation is nearby, not on site. Castleview Cottage is the estate's own — three bedrooms, six guests, directly opposite — and comes with a continental breakfast and a bottle of All Saints wine. Larger parties go to Mount Ophir Estate, a sister property whose six houses sleep about 50 between them.
- Two restaurants on the estate — KIN for fine dining (Thursday to Sunday lunch) and Bonnie (Wednesday to Sunday). The cellar door is open 10am–5pm daily.
- The estate runs a busy public events calendar — museum dinners, candlelight concerts in the Cask Hall, fortified tastings in the underground Family Cellar. Worth checking your date against it.
Standout Feature
A 300-metre avenue of 150-year-old elms leading to an 1864 castle — and a reception hall lined with barrels older than most of the guests.
