The Distillery is a working letterpress press with a studio on Crown Street in Darlinghurst. Design and printing happen under the same roof, by the same people, and the studio invites couples in to see and feel letterpress before deciding anything. Its wedding range is branded Celebrations.

Style & Printing

Letterpress is the house craft, printed into thick uncoated stock so the impression is something you feel as much as read. Foil stamping is offered in golds, silvers and selected colours, alongside embossing, wax stamps, envelope liners and edge colouring. There is an in-house hand-lettering and calligraphy team working in traditional and modern styles, and they will letter guest names directly onto invitations, envelopes and place cards. The studio’s own gallery spans classic, romantic and semi-floral designs among others.

Ideal For

Couples who want a printed, tactile suite rather than a digital one, and who would rather see the press than exchange emails about it. There is room at both ends: a fully custom suite with hand-lettering and illustration, a curated design adapted to you, or your own finished artwork brought in to be letterpress printed.
